From Congo to Zambia

From Congo to Zambia

Following a civil war in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Pascal's parents, like many others, were forced to flee their homeland and seek safety in Zambia. Pascal was born and raised by his Congolese parents in a refugee camp in Zambia, where they faced the harsh realities and challenges of displacement. He experienced firsthand the struggles, discrimination, and lack of support that many refugees endure daily.

Despite these obstacles, Pascal remained resilient and determined to create a better future for himself and others in similar situations. His experiences as a refugee sparked a burning desire within him to create change and make a positive impact. Inspired to take action, he aimed to provide support, resources, and opportunities to refugee communities, particularly single mothers and students who often face additional barriers.

On January 3rd, 2023, Pascal established the Hope for Refugees Foundation with a vision of creating a world where all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances, have the opportunity to thrive and fulfill their potential.
